The members of ShakyJake would like to thank the 1,000+ people in attendance at Burnsville's Primetime last week. The band pulled off an amazing show (if we DO say so ourselves!), and the staff and 93X were super to the band all night long.

Former ShakyJake bassist, Johnee D'Shea, joined the band on stage for several songs, and we had numerous additional friends show up to support us. We can't wait to return to Primetime soon! Thanks again, everyone!!!

Decoys in Hopkins was a fun time for the band last night. We all had several friends and family members in attendance which made the evening even more special. As usual, we also met and made many great new friends! We're overwhelmed at the awesome response and support for ShakyJake!

Thanks to everyone at The Press on Friday night, and Grampa Al's on Saturday for the packed houses, and incredible response to ShakyJake, as well as our new bassist, Wes. We'll be updating the website to include all of Wes' info in the near future...check back soon, and in the mean time we hope to see you in Hopkins at Decoy's Friday night!

What an incredible party at Babe's in Lakeville last Friday night! We saw numerous familiar faces in attendance...old friends, and we made some new ones! Special thanks to everyone that made it out for the show. It's a pleasant feeling to look out from the stage and see a full house of people dancing, drinking, and having...well, A PARTY!!!

We're taking a bit of a break that will take us through the 4th of July festivities with our families. Our next shows will make up a big weekend for the band:

FRIDAY, JULY 13 @ THE PRESS BAR in St. Cloud
SATURDAY, JULY 14 @ GRAMPA AL'S in Faribault

If you can't wait until then to see ShakyJake, the next best thing is to check out Eric's MySpace site, or Craig's other group, Hylander's MySpace site, to see where each of them will be performing next in the interim. At the time of this news update, it's not known if Mark has any acoustic shows during this time frame, but if he has some, we'll verify and post them here asap!

What a great turnout at Robert's in Mounds View Saturday night. Thanks to all the SJ faithful that made the trip out. We had family and friends of the band members in attendance, as well as some of our friends from the band Gel. And to top things off, we met several new friends throughout the evening!

The stage was rather large - a recent addition only two weeks ago - and the venue has a great sound and light system. The band was in top form and having fun making use of every square inch of the new performance facilities. It's our hope to be performing at Robert's again very soon!!!

ShakyJake will be rocking the house at Babe's in Lakeville this Friday night - June 22. Music starts at 9:30pm.

What a wonderful reception we received from the SJ faithful at Dibbo's last Friday night. It was great to see so many familiar faces in attendance, though it's been quite a while since we've played there. That show seemed to kind of kick off the Summer season for the band. Nothing beats a nice comfortable evening down along side the river. It was a really fun show for all!

ShakyJake returns to ST. CROIX LIVE this Friday, June 8!!! For all our new friends from last weekend's show in Hudson, WI @ Dibbo's, this is another chance to see the band close to your neck of the woods - over in Stillwater, MN. It's been nearly 4 months since we've been at St. Croix Live. We're all looking forward to another great show down by the river on a nice 'Summer' evening. The place was packed last time...let's do it again!!!

ShakyJake wishes to once again thank everyone that came out to Bogart's in Apple Valley last Wednesday night. The band had a fun time, and friends and fans of SJ were treated to an extra special treat when many former members of the group took the stage to play a few songs! Eric, Bill, Wurtzy, and George all joined Mark for the on stage antics. Johnee D'Shea was also in attendance to say hi and show his support, though he didn't perform with the band. It was a very special evening on many levels, and we were happy to share it with so many special friends!

What a whirlwind weekend it's been! Friday night, ShakyJake was rockin' the house in Buffalo at Boonedocks. The staff and crowd were very receptive, and the band can't wait until the next show at Boonedocks!

Saturday was the annual Cinco DeMayo celebration at The Press Bar in St. Cloud. Absolutely full house - barely standing room only! The band was firing on all cylinders and the dance floor was packed. It was an incredible experience.

The band wishes to thank everyone for your continued support of ShakyJake. We wouldn't be here without you!

ShakyJake had a blast in Faribault at Grampa Al's this past Saturday. Thanks to everyone that made it out for the show! It was one of the most fun performances the band has ever played. With Mark's high-energy antics all night, Craig's great guitar work and enthusiasm, James' intense stage presence, and Eric's drum stick acrobatics - this was definitely a show every SJ fan would want to see!

From everyone here in the ShakyJake camp, we can't wait to get out to our next shows and do it all over again. DON'T MISS IT!!!

Tonight, there is a Benefit concert going on in Coon Rapids. ShakyJake guitarist Craig Life will be performing with the band Hylander for the event.

"Please help us raise money for the wife and kids of Paul Olson, one of my best friends, that past away Sunday April 1st from a sudden heart attack. Paul Olson was one of my best friends since I was about 10 years old and worked with me the last 4 years. It will be hard enough for the family to heal without the financial burden cast upon them from the unexpected death of Paul. I will do everything in my power to help out his family because that was the type of person Paul was, selfless. So please help us get the healing process going by helping lift this finacial burden. Paul Olson will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

ShakyJake would once again like to thank everyone that made it out to Babe's last night. It was nice to see so many familiar faces! ShakyJake shows aren't the same without you!!! The club has made several improvements since the band last performed there - most notably the location and layout of the stage. The band is looking forward to their next performance at Babe's on June 22!

Bassist Johnee D'Shea has stepped aside from ShakyJake. Johnee comments on SJ's guestbook:

Thanks to everyone that made it out to River City (Chestnuts) in Chaska last night! ShakyJake had a great time, and your response was overwhelming. Thanks so much!

The band wishes to also thank the staff at River City for their incomparable hospitality. The food was wonderful (awesome cheese cake, too! ;-), and the never-ending bucket of refreshments and food plates in the dressing room were above and beyond. We're looking forward to the opportunity to come back again soon! You spoiled us well! :o)

Get to both shows early for the best seating/tables, and drink specials. While you're at it, feel free to come on up and say hi to the band!

ShakyJake is excited to be performing again. After these March shows, the calendar starts getting pretty busy for everyone here in the SJ camp. Keep checking the website here for current news and updates.

ShakyJake would like to thank everyone that attended our "Welcome Back Show" on Friday, February 16. It was a great opportunity for us to reconnect with our old friends, as well as meet new friends! We'd like to also thank the staff at ST CROIX LIVE for their support of ShakyJake! And we can't forget about our friend Dave Ryan from the KDWB morning show! Thanks to everyone for your support!!!

We've received so many positive comments regarding the new sound and lineup. Craig and Eric have been the perfect compliment to Mark and Johnee, and the result has proven to be an incredible burst of visual energy and musical chemistry. From the very first song, many of you were on the dance floor, and from the second song on, the floor was PACKED with dancers for the entire evening! That's rare for any band to accomplish, and we're humbled at the reaction and response to the new ShakyJake!!!

In the short-term, we'll be refining our show and incorporating different songs to keep you dancing and singing along all night long. Yes, there will be surprises along the way. Additionally, we'll be working on new original material that we hope to release this year.

Singer and ShakyJake Founder, Mark Allen, remains along with bassist Johnee D'Shea. They are joined by newcomers Craig Life (lead guitar) and Eric Althaus (drums). Craig comes to ShakyJake from the popular local hard rock band Hylander. Eric enters the mix having played most recently with Luna Sea and most noteably with JVC/Victor recording artist Equinox in the late '90's.
